We're looking for an innovator with expertise in advanced optical microscopy to drive breakthroughs in single-molecule imaging.
Join our team at the forefront of nanotechnology and optics to unlock the mysteries of life at the nanoscale!
Your mission will be…
…the utilization and continuous development of the optical setup, nanofluidic systems, and image processing. Your responsibilities may span experimental investigations of biomolecular processes, and theoretical studies of light-matter interactions and mass transport at the single-molecule level.
You will engage in projects investigating molecular transport, biomolecular interactions, or analysis of complex biofluids at the single-molecule level. Your contributions will be instrumental in providing insights into the fundamental building blocks of life by collaboration on interdisciplinary projects that bridge physics, biology, and chemistry.
As a member of a multidisciplinary scientific team dedicated to tackling key questions in life sciences, you will have the opportunity to tailor your focus based on your background and research interests.
Briefly about us,
the Dioscuri Centre is established at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences as a prestigious initiative by the Max Planck Society, leveraging world-class facilities and interdisciplinary expertise. Led by Dr. Barbora Špačková, the Centre is an emerging hub of cutting-edge, multidisciplinary research, focusing on developing a unique life science toolbox with applications spanning biochemistry, biophysics, and medicine.
Our team is advancing Nanofluidic Scattering Microscopy (NSM) – a groundbreaking label-free single-molecule method. NSM is designed to overcome current microscopy limitations, opening unprecedented avenues for exploring life at the nanoscale.
